Bending rolls machines

Over half a century on the sheet metal working market has endowed SERTOM MM S.P.A. with the know-how necessary to find the best quality/price solutions.

SERTOM developed the first European parallel full-hydraulic system at the start of the 60s, which is still foundation of the RIMI series. This system is quite popular thanks to its smaller interaxis and reduced dimensions, unlike competitor choices, thereby guaranteeing superior rolling in comparison to standard 4 rolls bending machines.
The new 4 roll hydraulic bending machines by RIMI, series Bull, are large-medium scale machines with a heavy-duty build and roll straight motion. Every function is controlled by a State-of-the-Art PLC.
Machine sturdiness and motion precision, provided by a modern electro-hydraulic system, guarantee maximum precision of materials during guiding and bending.

The EMO bending machine was invented, designed and built by Sertom; and unveiled to the world in 1978 at the EMO fair of Paris – thus the origin of the name.
The EMO is a machine that differentiates itself from classic models.
Originality comes from the continuous variation of the geometric position of the rolls: the top roll is motorized and moves vertically, while the bottom rolls translate horizontally and independently one from the other.
With this geometry the machine can be used from time to time as a pyramidal, asymmetric or 4 roll bending machine to meet the operator’s needs.
The EMO can deliver enormous performance in reduced space, while allowing extremely natural working positions given that the plate is always horizontal during rolling.
No anchoring is required up to larger sizes thanks to the machine’s compact and clean structure that is equipped with over-dimensioned rolls capable of operating as if part of a bending press. This feature makes it possible to achieve almost perfect bending of every thickness.

EMO

The EMO machine is the steel knight in SERTOM’s stable.
It’s a hydraulic plate roll 3 rolls variable axis with an absolute pre-bending, designed to bend plates of medium/big thicknesses.
Born in 1976, it was able to revolutionize the plate rolls world.
Actually the SERTOM engineers, strong with a know how grown through years of testing, are able to adapt this technology to every customer request, such as
plates of special steel, pre-tension plate rolls, and the need of NC control.
The main feature that makes the EMO machine the most flexible plate roll on the market, is the peculiar geometry that allows to work from time to time as a 4 rolls machine, vertical or planetary guides, and this is the reason that most of the plate rolls manufacturers, thanks to the great success of the EMO, added in theirs machines range an EMO style machine.
All this thanks to the bottom rolls that move on a horizontal axis and independently from each other with variable steps, while the top roll motorized, moves on a vertical axis.
Due to the variable steps we can have:
1- great versatility (increasing the distance between the bottom rolls and maintaining the same thrust from the top roll, we are able to bend big thickness, decreasing such distance we are able to bend smaller thickness);
2- the plate is kept horizontal during the pre-bending process (therefore safer for the operator);
3- total dimensions of the machine decreased compared to a 4 roll machine, therefore no need for a pit up to certain size.
Maximum flexibility.

RIMI 4RV Bull

These are the SERTOM 4 rolls hydraulic plate rolls.
This machine is extremely robust and the main feature is the side rolls movement on rectilinear guides.
Thanks to the extreme rigidness of the frame, together with the precise movements given by the state of the art electronic system, the maximum precision is assured during both pre-bending and bending operations.
All the operations of the machine are leaded by a latest generation of PLC and on customer request, is available a very modern and friendly user CNC.

RIMI 3RV Bull

With BULL SERTOM labels those plate rolls designed to bend very thick plates.
The 3RV is the evolution of the Historical RIMI manufactured since 1964 for the production of very thick tubes.
It’s a double pinching machine. The side rolls movement is managed by hydraulic cylinders that operate diagonally to reach the needed radius.
Three hydraulic motors coupled with three gearboxes, mounted directly on each roll, guides the rotation.
The main feature of this machine is toughness.
