Sertom has designed a full range of machines, composed of three utensils, for the production of various flanged bottoms - a press with fixed frame and cylinder, a hydraulic manipulator and a flanging machine. Starting from a flat round plate, the first two work machines work synchronously to form the bottom, with varying radius according to need. Flanging commences once the contouring phase is over, which means that a special machine forms the bottom coupling flange with the tank.
Technology at the service of tradition
HYDRAULIC PRESS:
This is a hydraulic machine with a stationary mechanical power assembly.
Its main feature is its absolute reliability, even when working under heavy-duty production cycles. The main features of the previously mentioned fixed cylinder press are:
- Particular structure of the base, side frames and crossbars that are built in electro-welded sheet metal that has been heat treated to reduce weld stress.
- Particular sizing of the structures in order to support the most stress possible without undergoing structural alteration.
- Controls are reduced to a minimum in a single movable control panel.
FORGING MANIPULATOR
Hydraulic machine with translatory and rotatory movements. The manipulator is an auxiliary machine that is actuated by the bottom press.
The manipulator is synchronized with the pistons of the press.
These movements can either be simultaneous or individual; and their logic sequence determines a work cycle for the production of tank bottoms from metal discs.
Every press control device is contained in a single panel.
FLANGING MACHINE
Model FMS FLANGING MACHINE is fully hydraulic operated and is suitable for flanging the bottoms of flat or rounded tanks, either with or without central hole.
The machine has a fully hydraulic system and is equipped with a forming roll of varying radius and a flanging roll. Controls are reduced to a minimum on a single moveable control panel.
